National Emergency in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Children’s Hospital Association are pleading for help regarding the alarming mental health crisis in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic among children and teens.
The American Academy of Pediatrics saying that its members were “caring for young people with soaring rates of depression, anxiety, trauma, loneliness, and suicidality that will have lasting impacts on them, their families, and their communities.”
His Heart Foundation was created for such a time as this. We have done the hard work of vetting and building a community of professional Counselors with a Christian worldview. They are ready to walk with teens and families through this aftermath.
The HHF Team has built an effective system and network of help, but we need more people on our team to keep up with the demands of this very real crisis. Help us, Help those in a Mental Health Crisis.

The percentage of teens who reported having “persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness” rose from 26% to 44% in 2021.
