Dany Tse
As a dentist, Dany believes in the power of early prevention and has grown his dental practices into a national group. With a passion for serving, Dr. Tse has had a wide range of experiences involving various evangelical organizations. While volunteering as the Director of the mobile health care program for Medical Teams International, Dany saw a great need for quality health care. Dany is grateful to his wife Debbie for her help and support in founding the organization, without her HHF would have never come into being.
Ken Andrews
Ken was born and raised in Hood River, Oregon. After becoming a Christian in high school, Ken attended college at Oregon State in Corvallis, OR, where he received a BS in accounting and an MBA. Ken has always been interested in serving a church or Christian agency in an administrative/operational role and looks forward to using his skills and abilities in service to His Heart Foundation. “I am excited to see the role HHF plays in the lives of youth and adults toward mental wellness and health. God is leading and guiding HHF to provide hope for people in need and it’s an exciting place to be right now.”
Pastor Neal Curtiss
Pastor Neal Curtiss and his wife, Julie, have been married for 45 years and in ministry together even longer. They are blessed with 10 children and 24 grandchildren. Neal was born and raised in Southern California while Julie is a native of Battle Ground, Washington. Neal has dedicated his life to ministry since the age of 18 and served as a Senior Pastor for 35 years. He completed his master’s degree in Exegetical Theology from Western Seminary.
Amber Bartle
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Amber owns at least three umbrellas of various fun designs. She loves her community and has a passion for connecting people with resources. Her own mental health journey has created a compassionate desire to help others become the best they can be. She has the heart of volunteerism and servanthood, and enjoys partnering with local organizations to offer support or collaboration.
Autumn Smith
Autumn brings experience and schooling in various ministries such as Youth With A Mission and Christrain Crusades for Christ where she developed a heart for people and their testimonies of the goodness of God and His salvation in their lives. Autumn serves at her church, Heritage NW, and lives in Vancouver with her two daughters. She is delighted by the opportunity to continue learning and coming alongside those pursuing mental wellness.
Cynthia Chen
Cynthia graduated from Boise State University with a BA in Business Administration in Accounting. Cynthia works at her local church as a bookkeeper and is actively involved with her husband at a non-profit marriage ministry. They believe that Christ-centered families and healthy marital relationships benefits both our relationship with God and the growth of the church. His Heart’s mission fits with her family mission and she is excited to use her gifts to serve.
Nicholas Yonko
With 30 years of information systems experience in a wide range of commercial and non-profit ventures, in addition to serving the community through church planting and ministry activity, Nick believes the power of technology is in its service to people. Centered on the human element involved in digital transformation, Nick has been successful in building teams in order to make sure technology fulfills its promise for organizations. He believes technology is as important as its ability to support the vision of the people it serves.
April Paniagua
God has given her a big, bold, loving heart, and she is happy to use it at HHF. With a personal journey of mental health, chronic pain, and sobriety, her life experience is what qualifies her to have such compassion and empathy for others during hard seasons in life. A former Battle Ground and New Mexico native, now residing in Vancouver, WA, April has also spent 22 years in the Dental field serving others. She is also an entrepreneur and has a freelance copywriting business. In her free time, she likes to sing, bake, craft, and do nature photography!
Maggie Peterson
Maggie grew up in a Christian, non-profit youth theater community, which ignited her passion for serving young people. Her passion for working with children and adolescents has led to a diverse background of working with students of all ages in educational, creative, and therapeutic settings. Currently, Maggie is pursuing a master’s degree in marriage, couples, and family counseling at George Fox University, with the hope of continuing her work with youth in the Vancouver area. In her free time, Maggie enjoys teaching dance, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family.
Jenn Kreunen
Jenn comes to His Heart Foundation after working several years in a local school district as a Special Education Paraeducator and Student Advocate where her job was to help students achieve their academic, behavioral, emotional, and social goals. Her heart for children and desire to see them thrive in all aspects of life has led Jenn to work with children in all capacities throughout her adult life. She looks forward to using this passion as the CCC Program Manager at His Heart Foundation. When not working, Jenn is a volleyball and track coach, loves reading, and finds joy in baking and being creative artistically.
MEET OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Barb Westrate
Barb is a former board member of a private K-8 school in Illinois and served as volunteer coordinator for a dynamic growing ministry through her church in Illinois. Barb has her undergrad and master’s degree in Education and masters in biblical counseling from Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia. She currently leads women in the study of God’s Word. Barb and her husband have three adult children and live in northern Florida.
Dr. Nathan Stevens
In his work as an ophthalmologist, Dr. Stevens has come to understand the value of good vision for his patients’ physical and mental well-being. Nathan serves many rural communities in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico through satellite clinics and local community hospitals. He has been active in short-term medical missions work in Guatemala for many years, often bringing his family to serve alongside him. He is honored to serve on the board at His Heart.
Rev. Dr. Jeremiah L. Peck
Jeremiah has been involved in Christian church ministry since 2005. Dr. Peck founded Ally Christian Counseling, a faith-based group counseling practice in Vancouver, Wasington. Dr. Peck also serves as the Director of the Master of Arts in Counseling program at the Portland campus of Western Seminary. Jeremiah shares, “I believe in the transformational power of the Gospel of Jesus, and consider it a great privilege to see God work through preventative and restorative mental health ministries”.
Anne-Marie Fort
Anne-Marie has a diverse background of professional experience in community planning, organizational effectiveness, and people development as well seven years in full-time ministry. In addition to the His Heart Foundation Board, Anne-Marie serves on the board of Arize Together, a ministry dedicated to creating intentional community for women graduating from sexual exploitation and addiction recovery programs. Anne-Marie is pursuing a masters in biblical counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. She and her husband live in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
Dr. Jerry Willbur
Jerry Willbur’s extensive experience in the corporate world includes: being a senior executive for over twenty years at two Fortune 500 companies, S.C. Johnson, and The ServiceMaster Company. He’s a published author, best known for his award-winning research in the field of mentoring, and is currently on the advisory board for the University of New Mexico’s Mentoring Institute.
